Teri's Quitting!

I'm sad to post this to my blog, but Teri Mayo is quitting designing. She's said that she needs to focus on some other priorities in her life. I know that I have enjoyed getting to know her over the past few months, and I will seriously miss her. The good news for you is that she's having a great deal in her store. Everything for $22.50!!! What! No individual kit over $1.50! That's crazy!!! Download while you can!!! Take a look at her store; I'm sure you'll find something you can't live without, and leave her some love on her blog.

Weekend Getaway!

Well, my hubby and I don't often get a chance for a weekend getaway, but sometimes we do take our youth group kids on cool weekend trips, and that is what inspired this layout! Our church hosts a prom alternative for the jrs and srs who choose not to go to the prom at their school. This year we took them to the beach, then to the hotel to get all dolled up for dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We hired a professional photographer to take pictures. Then we went a roller rink for late night 80's rollerskating. Then the next day, we spent the day at Busch Gardens. It was crazy mad fun, and my hubby and I had such a great time hanging out with these students, and it was a fun weekend with my hubby and no kids!
Here's my LO

and here's the kit that I used...It's called Weekend Getaway by Teri Mayo of Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs. Go check it out!

Hometown USA

I've had a great time playing with the kit Hometown USA made by Teri Mayo of Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs. It's available at Pretty Scrappy and Scrapable. Even though it's full of great all-American elements, it works for your everyday photos too. That's what I used it for....

Those are photos of my daughter's Kindermusik class! It's such a fun, crazy time!

It's a date

I wanted to tell you about a new product out by Teri Mayo of Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs. It's called "It's a Date" date stamp. It's a very fun, versatile product. There are rings of days, months and years which can be interchanged and little doodly-do-dads to embellish your date stamp. There's also a multi ring date stamp all ready to go...all you have to do is fill in the center, and that's the one I used. I added it to the cover of my choir tour album. Instead of filling the center with dates, I used the youth group name - Calvary Crew. Here's the Layout...

and the close up

You can get it at Pretty Scrappy and Scrapable.

I really love this page!!! I made it this afternoon. I saw a similar collage of photos in a circle in a paper scrapping magazine, and I decided I wanted that look. It took me a long time to get the sizing just right, so I made a template, so I could use it again any time I wanted. I used 12 pictures on this page!!! Because I'm so excited about how this turned out...I'm offering this PSD layered template to you FREE! It's PU/SFO/CU! Please take a look at my TOU.

Here's the download link!

Digi-Designs by Nicole Blogoversary

I wanted to tell you about another great designer...Nicole of Digi-Designs by Nicole. I first found her when I was cruising blogs for freebies, and she consistently offers great freebies on her blog. Recently she opened a store called Stuff to Scrap. It's a fun place to hang around. They have good challenges, and I really like their speed scraps. July 21st is Nicole's "Blogoversary" and she's promised a really great sale. She also is starting to give away a free kit starting Monday the 20th called Take a Dip. The sneak peek on her blog looks great! The preview below is for Nicole's kit Playtime. It's available at the Stuff to Scrap Store. As you can see, Nicole does a great job of creating imaginative color schemes, textures and embellishments.

Check out Nicole's Blog and leave her some "Blogoversary" Love!

More from Choir Tour

I'm kickin' out the pages for the choir tour album
I'm working on! I wasn't sure I was going to be
able to use just one kit for the whole album, and I
still might add another kit that coordinates. But
for now, here's the latest page I did on this trip.

We took the students to the top of Cadillac Mountain
in Maine for a picnic. It was cold and windy, and we
were in a cloud, but it was tons of fun!

I used the kit Somethin's Fishy by Teri Mayo of
Teri's-Thing-O-My-Jigs. You can pick it up at
Pretty Scrappy or Scrapable. Check out the
preview of the kit. It's linked to the Pretty Scrappy
store....
And as a little bonus...I'm gonna give away the
template I used to make the layout above.
It's in psd format. I left the center of the
template clear so that I could put in whatever
pictures I wanted. Hope you can use it!

from the Speed Scrap @ Pretty Scrappy

Speed scraps can drive me crazy sometimes. The first step for tonight was "choose 7 papers" Often, I hate the way my layout looks in the middle of a speed scrap. Tonight was no exception. In fact, I hated it, until I added the alpha and title! I'm going to use this for the cover to my album. I used Teri Mayo's kit "Somethin's Fishy!" to make this Layout!

Pretty Scrappy is one of my favorite places on the web! The challenges are a lot of fun!! And the Speed Scraps are a blast! And it looks like there's one tonight! Hope to see you there!

Funny things my kids say album

I started making an album with all the funny things my kids say, I decided to use the same basic layout. Several strips that could be photos or papers and places for embellishments, and plenty of room at the top for journaling. I used Teri Mayo's kit called School's out 4 Summer! Check it out at Pretty Scrappy or Scrapable.

Welcome to my Blog!!

I decided to take the plunge! I love digital scrapbooking, and a few months ago I joined the creative team for Teri Mayo of Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs. There are so many cool things going on with her and over at a few of the stores I hang out at, that I wanted to share them on my own blog. So here goes! You'll see some of the layouts I make, previews from my fave designers, some of my ideas on scrapping, and possibly a freebie!

More soon!
