Fall Festival Blog Train

Wow! I can't believer it's September!! Where did the summer go? Although it's nowhere close to cool here in Florida, we are thinking about Fall. I hope everyone is enjoying the fall colors and textures in this blog train by Stuff to Scrap. Here's a preview of my mini kit.

Here are 2 layouts made with my portion of the blog train. One by me, and one by my friend Wendy.

I love how both of these layout turned out!!! And I hope you enjoy this mini kit as much as I enjoyed making it. If you do, please leave a comment! You have 2 downloads...one for papers and one for embellishments.

don't forget!

Hey everyone
I've been busy with the start of school and working on a photobook project for a friend. And I'm almost finished with the choir tour photobook. Here is a layout I completed this afternoon.

I learned the cool blending technique over at scrapable.net. They hosted a free swim school for the past 10 weeks, and this was one of the coolest things I learned. I did this LO for a challenge over at Pretty Scrappy. I was inspired by a page that Ginny Tallent did, and copied it (that was the point of the challenge.) I used Teri's kit Somethin's Fishy again. I'm amazed by the versatility of this small kit. My album has 32 pages in it so far, and I've only used the Somethin's fishy kit. When I finish it (hopefully in a few days) I'll post a link so you can see the whole book all together. Don't forget! Teri's retiring in a few days! You can buy her whole store for $22.50....that's nothing!!! And you can buy individual kit for $1.50!!

I've posted several of the album pages that I've done from our choir tour trip, and I thought I'd share the video too. I'm so proud of the Calvary Crew Student Choir! They sound great, and they love Jesus and have a huge heart for serving Him by serving others. F0r the first few seconds there isn't any music...don't freak out! The comment about taking out extra insurance is because every trip my husband takes out of the county with our church vehicles, one of them breaks down. We've NEVER been on a choir tour where we didn't have one...and this one was no exception. The worst was 3 years ago when we broke down 9 times in 6 days. We amazingly never missed a performance on that choir tour! Take a few minutes and see what God did this summer with our students.....

what I've been up to and a freebie

I just finished a speed scrap over at Stuff to Scrap, and I got to use one of my favorite pictures and a kit that I got as a RAK from Nicole of Digi-Designs by Nicole. The kit is called Playtime.

and here is the layout I made with it!

That's my baby! He swiped the last sips of my Starbucks Venti Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte while I was checking out at the store, and he kept sucking on the lid like it was a pacifier because he liked the taste and wanted more....

I've also been working on the Maine Choir Tour Album...
Here are 3 pages that I made with the same template....

I love how each page has tons of pictures to look at and there is a cohesive feel, but not "matchy matchy." I've used Teri Mayo's kit Somethin's Fishy for all the pages in my album. At first I wasn't sure I could use the same kit for a whole album without getting bored, but I've really enjoyed it, and I love the way the pages look....

If you want to pick up this fun kit, you can get it for $1.50!! Teri's "I QUIT!" sale is going strong. Click the flyer to go to Teri's store...

If you liked the template I used, you can download it here. It is PU/S4H/S40/CU!

August Desktop!!

One thing I like to do each month is browse around the web and download a cute desktop for my computer. This month, I found a bunch, but none that jumped out at me. So I thought I'd make one myself. Not as hard as I thought. It's no harder than making a scrapbook page. I went to my system preferences and clicked on "displays" to find out that my computer display is 1280x800 pixels. Then when I opened PSE and opened a blank file, I sized it to 1280x800 pixels, and designed away. And here it is!!!!

I made it with Teri's kit Weekend Getaway that you can get from Pretty Scrappy. And since Teri is yelling "I QUIT!!!" at the top of her lungs, you can pick up the kit for $1.50 or her whole store for $22.50. Crazy!!! Go buy it!

Did you like the desktop? You can get it free here.... AUGUST DESKTOP
